Extreme wind and fire danger Thur-Fri (4/12-4/13 2018)

If you have travel plans Thurs-Fri in the southwest or southern plans, please be very careful. Accuweather is anticipating this could be one of the top 2 wind events of the year.

A very dry winter has left the SW very vulnerable to fire danger and with the winds and elevated temperatures, it could lead to extreme fire behavior.

No. But I follow their news year-round. I am glad my summer plans are for Wyoming, where they are slightly above average snow for the winter. I am really concerned that it could be a rough year for wildfires in CO. I am hoping to make it to CO for a shorter trip in the fall, though.
