Is anyone towing a T@B 400 with a Toyota highlander? I have a 2017 4WD highlander. What has been you experience, need of special add ons, mpg, etc. Thanks, Herb
@Herb While you’re waiting for real-time replies, you might search on Highlander in the upper right search field, there are a lot of comments. BTW Welcome to the forum!

We tow our 400 with a 2014 Highlander Limited with tow package. Tow package includes HD radiator with engine oil cooler, trans cooler, and 150 amp alternator. I did add some coil spring helpers to rear, to limit sag from tongue weight. Highlander tows the 400 well, properly loaded, we get no sway. Fuel economy does take a hit, we are down to 11-12 MPG from normal of around 20. We get good charging to the trailer, and according to the Victron monitor, we are easily keeping up with the refrigerator. We towed up through Southern Oregon in 100 degree weather, climbing hills, and never had an overheating problem. Engine does start to bog a little, but we always keep in 4th, not overdrive on any inclines. Did have to drop to 3rd a couple times to keep speed up, but could maintain 60 mph. Overall, we have been very happy with the Highlander/400 combo.
