Brandenburg, KY to Washington D.C.

Since purchasing our T@B CS-S in May, our first long trip was to the Washington D.C. area for medical appointment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.  Found a great campsite at Fairfax Lake Park in Reston, VA.  Clean and quiet campground. Electric only sites with water available near washrooms and dump station.  Reasonable for the area $37 per night.  Not many mosquitos and has friendly squirrels. Near Metro rail system.  Lots of toll roads in area.

The only place where you can spend the night and get bus service to metro or DC is Cherry Hill Campground (either in College Park or Beltsville, MD - it's on the line). It's the type of campground that is all concrete and no shade, squeezed in and expensive. That said, the people who run it are awesome, will do anything for you and there's an RV repair place around the corner if you run into any trouble.

The National Park is in Greenbelt. You cannot reserve any sites online. The sites are questionably level. There are lots of ticks and mosquitos (sad to say). The good thing is the Park Police Headquarters is located at the entrance and you are safe there as well! Very shaded spots and you can find the fee online. It's near somewhat near the metro and the Park Police will be glad to help with maps.
