Outside storage access door

Hi All,  I am considering adding the access door to the storage compartment behind the passenger side wheel. Do the Alde hoses get in the way, or is there enough slack to move them? Thanks

I would leave the Alde hoses where they are. Another question is how do you currently use this space, and would outside access make a difference? I store sleeping bags, pillows, etc there so for me an outside hatch makes no sense. It’s also another component to check and maintain a seal. For others it seems to work well. Good luck with your decision!

I agree with your thoughts, and the jury is still out on the question of usefullness, but being of a curious nature, I was just wondering on how others have dealt with the hoses which seem to be totally in the way. Thx

Mine came with the door and I use it. The hoses would stay in place. I work around them and don't find it a problem as they are attached to the floor. The items I can retrieve through the door are: tool kit front and center at the door, further back I have a bag with a Ryobi battery, tire inflater and vacuum. To the left of the door is my 9'x9' (folded in a bag) mat and fold up camp chair. Tucked to the right side is the stabilizer crank (mine is the long version).

There is still plenty of room in that storage space. Often my rolled up foam mattress is back there. I also have my Coleman Fold n Go in a bag in that space (won't fit through the door). All of my set up gear is in tubs so that space stays clean and my mattress roll doesn't touch anything dirty.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Mine are attached to the wall, but there does seem to be enough slack to move them to the floor.

The CS passenger bench Alde radiator fins and hoses are enclosed in a wood box.  Maybe doable in the S?  I have seen pictures of a wire shelf to make better use of the behind the headboard space.

I figure out what we will use in advance and lay the stuff between the benches during travel.  That way, no need to access inside our passenger side bench on arrival.
