Williams to Grand Canyon road

is the road from Williams to the Grand Canyon as scary/aweful as some ha e indicated? If so why?

Not sure why it would be considered scary. It is a straight, paved road. It does get backed up at the GC entrance during peak times. The way to avoid this is enter through the east gate and work your way along the viewpoints.2014 T@b S Max AKA T@dpole

Flat and straight, with far horizons. Mostly like driving across western Kansas, except as you approach the south rim you enter Kaibab National Forest and you can no longer see the horizon due to the trees.
