Propane tank extension for grill or generator

We will be picking up our TAB400 this weekend and then heading out for a month. A little late perhaps to think of this but does the 400 come with a low pressure propane port to use when running the propane generator or grill? If not, how have people handled this?

I connect a fitting with an extra side port directly to the tank, then run a flexible hose to my gas grill.
