I lived in Livermore for 20 years before moving back to Oregon two years ago! I've spent many a hours running the trails or kayaking the lake, but never camped. I hope you had a nice first outing.

Love cooking on the clamshell stove. We live in Westminster and our first voyage was to Bolsa Chica Beach.
Felt like "little toot" among all the huge RVs.

We spent a week at Christmas in Livermore with my daughter's family.  We stayed in a hotel though at $150 / night.  I'll have to check out the park you are at.

I was just looking at the map to see where the park is located.  My son in law and I bicycled to the top of Mines Road and he showed me the view of the park.  Now I know were it is, and it may become a destination some day.
