As I explore, I have found more differences in the 2019 TAB 400 than in earlier years. As I want a firmer mattress than most people I had planned to eventually buy the little clips that help stiffen the individual "springs" on the Froli system. In studying the springs that came in my 400 I saw that they were different than the "Star" system I had seen on other 400's. There is no provision for adding the tensioner clips! It turns out that what is in my trailer is neither the "Travel" system nor the "Star" system shown on Froli's (actually Nickle Atlantic is the supplier in the US) website. It is a new system called the "Spring Mat" and is supposedly firmer than either of the other systems. It is also shorter. That may help with the issue of the ceiling being too close to whomever sleeps at the back end of the bed--although they are only 3/16th of an inch shorter.

My 400 came off the assembly line on 3 Dec with the "new" system. I assume yours is a few months older than mine. I wonder when they switched. And I also hope it is as good a system as the earlier Froli systems. Of course I haven't slept through a night on either system--I'm just extrapolating from a few minutes at shows and in my driveway.
