I love the built in sewer hose holder on the 400 but I have been concerned about losing the cap that screws on the tube. So I decided to make a leash. The supplies cost under $3. Supplies used were one 6-32 x 3/4" stainless machine screw and 6-32 x 1/4" T-nut. Basically all that had to be done was to drill a 1/8" hole is the cap, thread the T-nut on the back of the cap and attach a cord with a loose knot so it would spin on the T-nut and not twist the cord. Then I drilled a hole in the side of the pipe and inserted the other end of the cord and tapped a wooden wedge into the hole to bind the cord in the hole. Hope you like it.
Thanks for posting this! I lost my cap on my second trip out! Just noticed it was gone 20 minutes ago. Is it just a standard PVC screw cap? I thought I saw them in Lowes?
@TabbyShack not sure about a replacement from Lowes. This is the stock cap that comes with the 400. I would guess you would have to order them directly from your dealer.
