It sounds like it may be a partnership arrangement designed to address North American demand. An earlier article indicated the Barefoot owners were working on a way to start distributing in the States.
Should be interesting. NuCamp will need to farm the fabrication process out and they already have great experience with a licensed design. No way could Barefoot import a North American spec camper and be competitive in the small fiberglass market. I think it's a smart move to slice out a piece of market share in that segment.
I see big egg-carton shaped tractor trailers carrying dozens of brightly decorated “egg” campers to dealers around the country. What a promo. Of course, they’d be scrambled on arrival.

I would think that the photo in the article with Scott Hubble, Joe Mullet and Jesse Mullet in front of the camper at the Dealers Only RV show in Elkhart, IN last September is enough to show nüCamp is very serious about their new partnership. After all, these are the three top officials in the nüCamp organization.

I can’t see the successful T@B 320 being replaced. The 320 and the T@G, along with the Cirrus truck camper line, were what nüCamp started with after Pleasant Valley Teardrop/nüCamp and Little Guy parted ways. All three have been successful ventures. With the recent addition of the T@B 400, and the upcoming AVIA, it all represents a well rounded American made quality camper line. Add a fiberglass model that looks very simple to camp in, also has fun colors like the T@B and T@G, a maintenance free exterior, simple inside, and nüCamp can garner some of those customers who want a fancier fiberglass camper than what is on the market. I, for one, am anxious to see the new Barefoot Caravan.

Are at least three threads on the T@B Facebook Group about the Barefoot. Most common comment seems to be " cute ".
Expect initial US Builder would have to import at least the fiberglass shell - - - no way they could afford to built another set of molds - - - I'm sticking with the T@B 320

I saw the Barefoot camper when I was in Sugarcreek, so I was waiting for the announcement. Forgive the uber cropped cell phone shot.
These are nice little campers. I am guessing they will be just a little more than I want to pay for one, but if they come in around the same price as a T@b with the right specs, I am interested.

@jkjenn, is it taller than the Tab 320? It seems so in your photo. It might be bigger overall than the 320, which would be a selling point for some of us taller folks.
But that 'payload' limitation that @MuttonChops points out.... Hmmm.

By developing / maturing the NuCamp factory's fiberglass experience level, maybe this will allow the crack-prone ABS plastic trim pieces on the rest of the product line to be replaced with fiberglass equivalents?

I love the bright, open feeling of this fiberglass beauty! So different than the other claustrophobic and dark feel of other small fiberglass campers I’ve been in, and rejected in favor of my T@B.

When we first began looking into small camper trailers 18 months ago, we initially considered the Airstream Basecamp, but it was a bit above our budget (~$37,000). At that time, the Airstream dealer told us about the Airstream Nest, a new fiberglass camper that was coming out in a few months, that was about the same size as the Basecamp. At that time, I thought the Nest might be a more affordable camper option for us, but it ended up being way more expensive than the Basecamp, coming in at just under $48,000 (which you can now find discounted for under $40,000). It was much heavier than the Basecamp (3400 pounds dry weight vs. 2600).
So my guess is that this Barefoot model will be priced at around $30,000.
If the Barefoot has 6 feet of headroom and was not much heavier than the 320, and ended up with a dealer price close to the 400, we might possibly consider it as a future upgrade to our T@B . . . but I would really want to see it in a Boondock version.

I would imagine that nüCamp will not deliver a trailer to the US market that has such a s.all payload capacity. I could be wrong, but I expect a larger payload.
The trailer in the photo is o a higher slope so it is a little misleading.
I am most concerned by the low clearance.
What I hope stays the same a re the awesome little touches...great hardware, the colors with coordinating curtains and decals, the door, the coordinating portable radio.
The Barefoot uses a Truma heater, which is very nice. I would also need AC and prefer a CoolCat. There is enough storage to give up a little under the bench space for that.
I am guessing nüCamp will also add a TV.
These are sweet little campers and I love the doors!

It appears that the Barefoot is on the same Al-Ko frame as the Dutchmen T@Bs were. If that is the case, then yes, the lower payload is believable. If nuCamp does the same thing with the Barefoot that they did with the T@Bs and put them on the same frame the 320s are being built on, then the payload will go up. But the agreement may be different, and they may be required to put them on the Al-Ko frame.
