Grateful for all who had patience with me and helped me pre-purchase and while sitting snowbound.  Our inaugural trip is going good and we are learning a few things such as thicker tarps for under our add a room, ant spray, etc.  Our water is very hot and I am curious if any of you have had to adjust the temp?  We don't want to mess with it, but it is scalding hot.
thanks again.

Yes, be careful! I measured the hot water at 158f on our 2014..! Its not adjustable, to my knowledge. Its needed for the heating system half of the Alde.

Ants can be a problem, especially if they get inside the trailer.  I will not use poison except as a last resort, but I do whatever I can to keep them out.  I haven't tried this yet, but read somewhere that people spread Vaseline on ground contact points and that they can't get past it.

Borax, yes that old 20 Mule Team Borax from the laundry soap section in your local grocery, was killing ants in Arizona in some humongous ant hills.  Just sprinkle it around any ground contact points to keep the ants from entering.  And, it's rather inexpensive.  I kept some with me while I was in Arizona, along with some Raid spray and some ant hotels.

And, if the ants get inside your tow vehicle or T@B, Windex will kill them on contact, but the residue will not kill any newcomers.  It's happened to me twice....and I HATE ants!!!!

Luckily, I haven't seen a single ant in my travels - Saw my first rattler today.

I didn't see any snakes, but I left Arizona the third week of March.  I didn't see many ants until that last week, and those were just the ones with the big hills.
