Amazing Azdel in 101degrees

It’s 101 degrees here today. My Tab is parked with full sun hitting the driver’s side. I have the window shade down on that side and it’s warm to the touch, but there’s absolutely no heat to the touch coming through the Azdel siding. It’s amazing. The AC is managing its job, too. Impressive.

but just so you know, the azdel is only the outhere layer of the walls.

so in order, you have the composite azdel skin ( about 1/8 if so of fiberglass aluminium and something esle sandwich), then a layer of foam (something like high density styrofoam and a layer of luan ( a cardboard like layer of wood).

but yes, that sanwich does a fairly good job at insulating from heat and cold.
