The time for thinking is over... the time for adventure is now!

Well, after lots of thinking, research and planning... I signed the papers on my 2014 S M@xxxxx today, and I will be picking it up on Thursday!

The journey: my wife and I, while raising five kids, always took time out just for the two of us. We toured the country and around the Ohio/Michigan/WV/Ky area, and longer trips out west and northeast on motorcycle. We rode together for years... ...and then, about eight years ago, my wife and oldest boy were in an auto crash as he was testing his permit.

Fortunately, they were ok... ...but from then on, I mostly rode alone, and we didn't take trips on 2 wheels together again. I missed that getaway, so in fall of 2011 I bought a Jeep Wrangler.

This has been "our" new "bike" (I still ride, but this is for us). In October of 2012, we toured the US with a stop in Moab, UT. We had a ball... 14 states in 15 days. We met up with some local friends for part of the trip, and we are going to do it again next year.

My bud and I started talking about RVs, and freedom... and not having to deal with hotels, etc. Well, I tend to get over enthused... and well, here I am.
I have been eyeballing T@bs since a long while back, and most recently, have been thoroughly impressed with what Little Guy has been doing. To have such fit and finish in a sub 2k pounder is awesome!

I had thought we would get the CSS, but when we recently saw a few in person... well, the S seemed to have more "lounge" space for me, and a bigger bed... kind of critical!

Sorry for the ramble, but this is a big deal for us, and I am super excited. The forums. People who own Little Guys of all sizes, and the seeming direct connection between the folks who love 'em and the folks that build 'em is right in my wheelhouse. I hope to see some of you on the road, and welcome your continued wisdom!

Here she is, still at the dealership. I'm ready to bring her home... ...and my bud already invited us to head south this weekend to meet up with friends and test it out. I'm game!

The title of your post just about says it all!  Get out there and have new adventures in a whole new way.  T@b forums answer so many questions, the same ones we all seem to have. I still learn new stuff!  I like the silver with black trim you picked out, but is that a white on white next to it?  Nice!!

Looks like your baby is sitting at the same home I picked mine up from last week! I'm just as excited to get out there too!

was it the airstreams that gave it away? I actually had a great experience with a fellow named Todd Brake at Bankston in Huntsville, alabama this past weekend (if anyone swings by, ask for Todd. We were planning on snagging one there before we headed home, but it wasn't meant to be in the time frame alotted. However, once we got back to Ohio, we found the one we wanted much closer, from the fine folks at Haydocy. They have only been I to T@bs for about three months, but seem to be doing a relatively brisk trade in T@bs!

She's a beauty. As you can see, my T@BbyKay looks a lot like your new baby.
Ours is a clamshell with a wet bath and we are enjoying it.
We bought ours at Bankston in Huntsville.
    Happy camping.

We got ours from the same place the week before last! They must be selling a ton of them.

Now I'm curious. Did we all get a good deal on our T@Bs?

If you got all the stuff  you wanted in it and on it and your happy with it, it's a good deal.  :)

I feel I did... sufficient enough that I signed the papers! At the end of the day, I say a good deal is what I'm willing to spend, and they are willi g to take. I got a tour of the place, and spoke with the manager... as well as the owner. They are truly excited to be dealers for the Little Guy line... ...and frankly, as Airstream dealers they get people who will pay a little bit more per square foot for something truly unique. I asked about a teardrop rally at their location... perhaps not until 2015, but they are expanding their lot, and the neighboring casino is building an RV park, so you never know! Once the papers are signed, I move on... there is always someone who swears they paid 50 percent of the asking price no matter what... ...and after decades of motorcycling experience, I can tell you... I don't sweat my support of admittedly niche market items, as I want them to stick around.

I DO get a kick of how many Ohioans and Ohio purchasers there are on this wee little forum.

Here's the rig... I swung by my friend's house to test out the brake controller on an extended stretch of road near his place. I then took it home about an hour from his place. It turns tight in town, and on the freeway, it hauls @**. I found the best balance is 5 gear (of six), at 65 leaves me at about 2650 rpm.

It is... that's why we went with the T@b... while it may seem a premium of dollars per square foot of space, there is nothing as roomy or well appointed we could find that was in its weight class... ...so here we are.
