Anyone with experience with parkit electric trailer dolly

Our new storage unit for our 320 has a slight grade that my wife and I do not think we get the tab up the grade or control coming down. I am considering the parkit force 5b2 but would like some member input as how it is still working for them. I have read the old posts but would like see if it is still working. Also any input on use with the 400 or anything that someone else found works well. thank

Can’t answer specifics on that product, none of the detached movers could handle my driveway, so I went with ones installed on the trailer instead. The Parkit models only handle a 6% grade, which is pretty shallow in my neck of the woods...6% is actually the flattest part of my street, and is where I unhitch as a result. Definitely measure that slope to be certain before buying any motorized dolly, because you don’t want to drop that kind of money only to find it won’t work for your situation.

Our SAR unit has one, big and heavy, but will move our command trailer on gravel and the trailer is many times the weight of a Tab. Having said that, no experience on grades. The built in units with remote control are more elegant BUT each has a place, the Parkit360 is good if you have multiple trailers to jocky around a yard and warehouse. For individual needs, I would probably get a Purpleline.

@Ace I have one.  I back my trailer up my driveway, it is fairly steep down near the street.  Then I have to do a 90 degree turn to get it into the back yard where I park it next to the garage in the winter.  I had to have something that did not require brute strength as I am getting older and do this solo and I cannot afford to hurt myself or have the trailer get away from me.   It has plenty of power, however a few things I do not like about the parkit is 1)  It tends to want to tip forward unless on completely level concrete and 2) hitching up the ball is a bit of a pain.  You really have to raise the front of the trailer to get the parkit under the hitch.  3)  If you have to do a sharp turn, then need to get the trailer mover back to it's original position, you actually have to jerk the handle back to the position you want to "drive" it from--the tires are big & beefy & it does NOT move as smoothly as the videos show.   I don't know that I would trust it for a really steep driveway, but I'm very cautious.   If I had to do it over again, I think I would have gone with the purpleline if I could find someone in the Denver area to install it for me, but at the time I was looking I could not find anyone with a purpleline to get any recommondation from.   I have seen a few recommendations since from I think "Verna" here on this website and someone else from the Tab forums on Facebook.     The parkit & the purpleline are the only two options that I know of out there for a powered dolly unless you go to a huge industrial mover.  NOTE:  also the battery cable on the parkit are not long enough to go from the mover over the tub to hook onto your trailer battery, so you need longer cables or an extra battery to sit right on top of the parkit to power the parkit.
