Got this idea from someone else.  3/8 inch corded poly rope; tarp folded over one end; taped with Gorilla tape; threaded through the keder rail; tarp poles as needed (nearby trees would work, but when I desert camp in the winter, trees are usually absent.  Works OK, but the tape is coming off after one use.  Might need to find true tarp repair tape.

I just purchased one of the Sun Shade Sails (water proof) on Amazon.  It's 9.5 x9.5 and purchased extendable tent poles that extend to 8.5 ft.  I'll purchase the keder rail insert to sew along the edge to put through keder rail.  Till then I thought I'd use bungie cords with extentions, to take over the top and hook on driverside wheelwell.  Once I receive it I'll post pics.  I also use a pop up tail gate tent over my kitchen in the back.  It works great.

I attached my Kelty Sunshade and used a full water container for the the third leg.  Survived a 40 mph wind with no problems.
