Don't know if you even need the "landing pad" kit, looks like mine has the parts still in the box. But came with my Tab. I'll look deeper and see if any info on the basket or tire clamp thingy. Others may pipe in with better info.
gulfarea - up through 2019 Outbacks/Boondocks came with Yakima (round) bars mounted on Yakima Control Towers with # 1Landing Pads. I'm looking at the brochure as I type. And that's what I have on my 2018 Boondock and on top of my truck topper. I don't know about 2020's. The picture above is a manual for the Skyline system which is not on the T@B or their brochure. Maybe NuCamp updated to something on some trailers which isn't in their brochures. You can find the parts on the Yakima.com website. They also have a great customer service department.
Yakima has redesigned their towers but the older style Control Towers are still available if you dig. The spare tire mount hasn't been changed in years.
GatorEgg thanks for the part # for the tire mount. I have the tower mounts already on but I need to know the basket part number. I put a Jack-e up on the tong so I can open my rear Wrangler tail gate & will move spare tire to the back. Thanks so much all. Art
If you already have the roof rails sorted it looks like you would need to get the Skinny Rack and a mount kit for the spare to attach to that. Curious what carrying the spare on the roof does to gas mileage? Between adding the rack, basket, wheel etc. it seems like it would provide quite a lot of wind drag.
tabiphile Thanks I will look into the skinny rack. As far as the wind resistance in the back I will have to ask the folks who have the rear tires already mounted on them for feedback.
