Hello All. I am having issue connecting to city water. When I connect the hose to the city water connection and turn on the faucet, water immediately comes pouring out from a drain that's behind the holding tank (see photo below) and not the 3 valves used for winterizing. Can someone please tell me what is causing this and how to fix it?
Thank you. MoBi
Are you using a pressure regulator? The small pipes in your trailer can't handle the pressure of a city water connection.
If not, you might have popped the Famous Yellow Pressure Relief Valve. Go back and look at your valves and look to see the position of the yellow valve.
Thank you for your prompt response. No I didn't use a pressure regulator. I did order one on amazon. Where is the yellow valve located for the t@b 400? Underneath the mattress or in the closet
Over in the manuals section, @Awca12a wrote an Unofficial 400 Owners manual that will get you the answer faster than I can. Try page 119. You can find it listed at this link under "Tab 400 Resource Guide."
The valve worked as itshould. One of the purposes of the valve is to relieve excess pressure in the plumbing. In this case, it was due to the absence of a pressure regulator. Always use one when hooked up to any city water outlet to prevent damage to your plumbing.
