Keeping a T@B 400 Cool in a heat wave

OK, I have the T@B 400 Boondock Lite (as if you didn’t know  ;) ).

My outside thermometer in the front tub is reading 103*F in full sun. Two weather stations within 10 miles are reporting 88*, with a heat index of 102*, at 12:50 pm. The heat wave should break later today.

The Cool Cat is keeping the inside temp comfortable between 82* to 83*, although the Alde thermometer says it is 78* (78* and my toes would be freezing!). The Cool Cat is not running constantly and I have no shade outside on the T@B until about 4 pm. All window shades are open except the south facing rear window, the Fantastic Fan vent is open (Fan is not running), and the east kitchen window is cracked to safety lock slots.

I am looking forward to ordering the Isabella Awning soon for shade on the passenger side (east at this campground).  I helped assemble one at üCamp19 and it is my answer, I believe, to shade that can stay up in wind without damage.

Of course I can’t imagine camping in over 100* in the Southwest right now, but the Cool Cat is working as expected.
