Set Battery Capacity to Battery Max or Real-World 50%

For those of you that have installed a Battery Current & AH monitor.

Have you programmed the system with the ideal battery capacity from Factory AH capacity or something else?

I've just installed a basic unit { read China $30 shunt based sensor with wireless display ).  For lead acid flooded batteries isn't the basic rule of thumb "you can only safely discharge to 50% capacity" . . . so am thinking if the Monitor is programmed to 50% { 42.5AH for present dealer installed battery } that will make the Battery Capacity Bar Chart realistic for a safe discharge amount.  While if the Monitor is programmed to factory 85AH then I'll Need To Know that the bar chart dropping to 50% capacity is a not ideal situation.

Thoughts?

The Victron is different because it accounts for less than ideal battery, using the Peukert exponent, the battery capacity (as in factory), and allows you to set alarms, based on your preferences. It might help you to read their docuemntation to see which might work best for you.

This is unit is from China. Documentation only covered wiring, everything else is "learn as you go".
