Hello All,
I am wondering if I can keep the camper plugged into shore power over the winter in freezing and fluctuating temperatures. I live at about 7,000 feet in the mountains of colorado and am worried about the battery, which is very hard to get to in the new campers. I did the whole antifreeze thing for the pipes. Can I just plug it in to shore power and cover the connecters with a connector housing situation? What do you folks do?
Thanks so much :-)

If you have a 400 with an AGM battery, current consensus is to charge it fully, then monitor at intervals. The AGM do not freeze and maintain a charge a long time.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Yes you can. I use an external smart charger on mine as the onboard WFCO converter has trouble charging my dual 6V flooded lead acid batteries, but if you have the stock 12V battery it will keep your battery in good shape throughout the winter. Any type of battery won't freeze as long as you maintain a charge.Jon & Angela | Florissant Colorado | 2017 Outback S
