How do I post pics?

Hi, never in my life have I had so much trouble figuring out how to post pics!  Is there a post somewhere with instructions on how to post pics? I'm losing my mind at this point.

    Can you see the little "image" icon in the menu above where you type your message? Or is it a size issue?

    I see the icon and when I browse to my pics nothing is happening.  I'm afraid I'm having a blonde moment.  It should be simple right?  I do need to resize them to. I did find instructions for resizing, but when I try to browse and attach nothing is happening.

    Have you tried to drag and drop?  Are the files jpg's or something exotic?

    They are jpgs.  I tried drag and drop too. Ugh.

    after I browse to the photo and its showing in the field, I hit enter and nothing happens. How do you attach it once you browse to the photo?

    Well, I'm stumped, too.  The software this Forum uses is sensitive to size, as you read.  How big are your pictures?

    I downsized to 100kb. Is that still too big maybe

    That is small enough.  The other issue would be width and height, but that small file size should be ok.

    I’m terrible at it, but I email my iPhone photo to myself, store it in my photo gallery on my iPad, open CropSize and reduce the size to 800x600 pixels. Then go to the thread I want to post it to, select the icon with the turned over corner. It asks me for the file to attach. Back to my photo in CropSize where I select export. At least I think that’s what I do.😁

    I give up. I have resized them according to the guidance, no larger than 700 wide x 400, etc. Still nothing happens. I tried attach file and attach image and neither function is working.  I have pretty decent computer skills, so I just don't know what to try next.  Thanks for the help guys.  Lets just let this one rest for awhile.   Robyn

    I'm going to attach a link to my RV Trader listing where the pics are posted.  I know you are not supposed to do that, but hopefully my post won't get deleted since I'm having technical issues.

    Use "Insert Image." Browse to the location where the file is saved. Select the file. Click "Open" and then it should upload. Depending on your connection speed it can take a little bit of time.

    Thanks Marceline for the screen shots. That is exactly what I'm doing but it's just not working. Thanks .  I will give it one more try a bit later.

    @robyn769, are you trying to post from a PC, iphone, Android or tablet?

    Are you using the entry to the forum via the Tab-rv website or using www.tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com?

    Another member recently had a similar problem. The solution was to use a different web browser. Might be worth a try, if only for troubleshooting purposes. Certain browsers can sometimes act quirky when they interface with Vanilla.

    That was it! It was the browser!!! I was using Explorer and I just now tried to load a pic in MS Edge and it popped right up!  Good grief!  Thanks for all the help guys. I just put one pic up for now so I don't overload the forum.  There is a link at the bottom of the ad to my RV Trader ad. I hope that's not breaking the forum rules.
