Thanks for the follow up, @Robnrina.  That's lousy it happened, but glad to hear you tracked it down & got it repaired.

It makes me wonder how this can happen, other than a manufacturing defect, but I see two other possibilities.. Any manipulation of either the tank during installation or pressure placed against the hoses afterwards might cause enough sideways force to crack the plastic at the tank nipple where the hose connects.

In this regard, I have noticed how those hoses are in a vulnerable place on the floor of the rear storage compartment..

There is nothing to protect them from items stored there exerting pressure against the hoses, especially if tightly packed.  This makes me want to built something rigid around them for protection.
