Generator for A/C

Although I don’t expect to rely on using the A/C in my T@B, I decided to test the Yahama EF2000iS I already have for capability (just to know). It’s not quite 90 degrees out with the T@B parked in the sun since early morning. I started the generator, put it in economy mode, plugged the T@B into the generator, and then turned the A/C on set to 65 degrees. The generator cranked up for a few seconds and settled back, but not quite to the earlier quietest level. As expected, the initial load was greatest, and the generator proved capable.

Ya, the Yammy 2000 should handle it just fine. Surprisingly, the AC doesn't kick my Honda up a notch at all that's why I was surmising in another thread that - just maybe - a 1000 would do even though all the recommendation say you need 2000 for start up.

Even though the AC doesn't kick it down, my only appliance (toaster) does big time.
So even though I surmise tha a 1000 might do, it may not for other things. -
On Camping Worlds' web site catalog, if you look at the Honda generators, they have a chart that shows what each size generator is capable of powering. Probably not all at once though. The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

It's the initial draw starting up that is the reason all the advice says 2000w for the air conditioner.

It is possible to link two Honda EU10 generators, using a special cable, to get 2000w when it is needed. When only 1000w is required (ie no AC), just run one generator.

I thought the two generator setup was only available with the 2000i - Are you sure you can do that with 1000s? With the 2000, the second generator is called a 2000i-Companion and has a different face with a 30amp connector. It's not just two standard 2000s hooked together.

Sorry about that. I thought A Honda Generator was a Honda generator, but they do vary depending on what country you are in.
Has something to do with the amps apparently. Here in Australia two 1kva or two 2kva generators can be linked.
