App for Road Conditions, Grades, etc???

Good day! I’m curious if anyone is aware of an app which would quickly give an idea of what may be ahead during our travels? I am planning a cross country trip and am concerned about western states roads that I am unfamiliar with.  Since I tow my 2005 DM T@b with a Honda Odyssey I don’t want to get stress my engine too much if I go off the beaten path. I have a transmission cooler and in another thread it was recommended I get a temp gauge but I am more concerned about choosing to go someplace and then be in over my head. Not that I will be off roading but I would feel more comfortable being able to plan ahead on a daily basis and ‘know before I go’!

Know Big Truck Specific GPS and some RV Specific GPS units have grade of route planning options.  They also give a warning when approaching large grades and are expensive to purchase.
Since Google Maps changed their price structure all the (free) Route Elevation Programs I've used in the past no longer function.
Best I've found recently is to tell Google Map to route for a bicycle and it will display an elevation chart . . . . . a very small chart of questionable value on any route longer than a dozen miles . . .

Check out ‘Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers

Plot your route on Google Earth Pro; once you see your route right click on it and select "elevation profile'.

Check out You Tube - Drivelapse.

    Saw these on another website.

I'm a bike rider, and plug my rides into Ride With GPS.  It uses GPS data from bike computers.  You will find many different rides and routes, and you should be able to match the area you want to see with one of the rides.  It provides maps and elevation profiles, and if you look closely at the elevation profiles, you can see the grades.  Bike riders love to brag about the grades they just rode.

Here is a link to a group of rides near Yosemite, Ca, just as an example.
