Hi everyone! Some of you may remember my video from 2 years ago when I winterized my T@G with vodka... well, it worked so well that we decided to do it to Little Bear, the T@B 400. What a great idea, then you can have a de-winterizing party pouring drinks out of the faucets, wahoo!!

Many of us try to avoid RV antifreeze with alcohol as an ingredient. I realize vodka is made to drink and isn't the same alcohol as in antifreeze, BUT wouldn't it have the same negative effect on rubber and plastic in the water system.

@N7SHG_Ham if I remember correctly about three years ago Mandy Lea was caught in a freak snowstorm and freezing temps far from services. The only item she had that could protect her lines was vodka. It worked in a pinch and yes, many have since pointed out that it’s not ideal because of the alcohol content. It gave many of us a good laugh at the time and showed ingenuity when in a bind. I suspect she prefers hers from a bottle vs faucet.

Especially since they used some cheap vodka that sounds like it is barely drinkable. I guess I don't understand the continuing use of vodka when they are better antifreeze solutions? It isn't as effective, it harms rubber and plastic and it costs more.

Didn't the video say it helps you skip the step of sanitizing in the spring?
