In the Middle of Winterizing!!!!

Hi all. I'm in the middle of winterizing....blew out the taps, closed the valves for winterizing, poured 2 gallons of diluted pink anti-freeze into the fresh water tank....turned on the water pump....and I'm getting nothing. I waited at least an hour and still nothing. The water pump is working and things are gurgling....but nothing comes out of any of the taps or the flushed toilet.

I DID open my cold water drain valve (under the seat with the blue and red pipes) and drained it....could that be a problem? Seems unlikely.

How long does it take to pressurize?! Thanks

Should taps be open or closed when pressurizing...mine have been closed.

My experience is that you are going to need more than 2 gallons in the tank, probably 3-4. On my 320 the pump stops pumping but the water level gauge shows almost 20% left in the tank

  • I assume you bypassed the Alde by opening the bypass valve and closing the hot and cold supply valves.  But, I think you need to close the drain valves in order to be able to use the plumbing to deliver the AF.  If you were just using the pump to take a shower, you wouldn’t open that valve.

I had to put more than 2 gallons to get it circulating. I think we ended up with 4. That said, we probably could have used 3 if the camper had been level. Are you level?
