Does anyone cook in a wok? After living in Asia for several years, some of my best meals are "one, pot". Fried rice dishes are best if using leftover rice. Noodle dishes, too. Leftover spaghetti noodles work into a fine lo mein.'17 Outback S - TV 2016 Chevy Colorado in "Colorful Colorado"

Thanks for the photos @Nomad. I get teased constantly for not knowing how to cook, and so appreciate the details. A "pinch" of this, "dash" of that, gets me so confused. Cooking is overwhelming, but I can do this!

Favorite, easy, go-to when already in the site (doesn't work on a travel day):We carry a small crock pot with us. Put in 2 chicken breasts and a container of pico de gallo. Cook all day. Take off lid, shred chicken with two forks, serve on tortilla with cheese, lettuce, etc.2016 T@B CS-S silver with white trim and WSU themed

@Verna Oh bugger, I hoped someone else would volunteer. :-).Well I guess I have time now lol.
-
@Tundra57. Not English perchance? "Oh Bugger" was a favourite from our youth in the UK!
-
@Lesley_and_Ian I resemble that remark lol. An Anglo American through and through. Been here 25years. :-).

@Tundra57. 45 years for us!! It’s been a long time!

Wow you beat me

Interesting I put another English expletive in there and it got deleted but bugger escaped. If only people knew what it means!!

@Lesley_and_Ian, I guess it’s a labor of love—a love of camping, campers, how-does-it-work attitude, how can I get help to get a resolution, a love of helping, and a promise to nüCamp to keep the forum family friendly. I’ll give members a couple of passes on language by quietly changing the language and then a private message to encourage cooperation. It rarely goes past the private message. There are two Admins (super powers) and two Moderators (enough power), so I can’t claim all the credit...or blame 😉Verna, Columbus, IN

My mom was from Cork, Ireland. She didn't use too many harsh words...but there were words that if we heard them we knew she was well and properly upset! No one else in the neighborhood knew what she meant, but we did!

Et al.....To everyone following this thread, check out an old thread titled "Baking with the Q". There is an ingenious way of using your gas bbq, the webber q grill. While we are all trapped at home for safety's sake, now is the time to practice this method of baking while camping, even if it is in the driveway. Sharpen your skills so you're ready to go when the travel ban is lifted. Happy camping! Happy t@bbing!2017 t@b sofitel(Dr@gonsFly)TV 2015 Silverado 2500hd(Behemoth). Wyandotte, Michigan.

So, about wok cooking – it's my absolute go-to! After living in Asia, I've mastered the art of one-pot wonders. Fried rice with leftover grains and noodle dishes with whatever's in the pantry are my jam! And oh, let's talk korean cheese corn dog! Had my first taste during a wild food adventure in Seoul – that cheesy goodness is a game-changer! Funny story – attempted making one at home, and let's just say my kitchen turned into a cheese explosion zone! It's all about the learning process, right? Any tips or tricks for perfecting the cheese corn dog would be greatly appreciated.

My solution to simple, easy cooking when camping? An Air Fryer! Of course, only when I have electric, but Air Fryers are the bomb!! I do everything from chicken, to steak, to biscuits, to quesadillas. I have even baked cookies in one. I have a small 2-quart Instant Pot air fryer for the TAB 320 and a larger one for home (Christmas gift!)

My passion is cooking, so what we eat at home is what we eat camping. We do a lot of hiking so a good breakfast helps to power the day's activity. Lunch is usually simple, like a sandwich and fruit on the trail. Here is a sampling of our meals on our latest trip to Big Bend.
