Decorating Tab 400 and removing decals

Hello!  I just bought a used 2018 Tab 400 and I would really like to add some color or cool decals to the outside.  Has anyone done anything similar or has anyone removed the black stripes?  Thanks, I'm so excited!!

Cheers,
Annette

Typically a hair dryer will warm decals up enough to remove them but my experience has only been on metal. I'd contact the factory directly for advice or the vendor you'll choose to create your new designs.

Very carefully!! I have a company owned Wells Cargo and had a professional sign shop change the logos on the side, if I would of wanted the paint all scratched I could of done it myself! Was very disappointed and will not be using them again. I ordered my 400 with no decals for the reason I won't have an issue removing later if the need arises.

Old thread, but has anyone here attempted this? Thinking about removing some of our 400 decals.

We've removed most of them. Park in sun or a blow dryer then go gone to remove the left over glue.

We didn't remove any decals but we added a bunch as we also wanted more color.  I'll try to add a pic. The files may be too Got the decals from deansigns4u on Etsy.  She was great to work with and the daisies were very reasonably priced.

I removed some of the decals and lettering for our Boondock just by picking an edge and pulling off.  Depending on long they have been on you may have shadowing left from them.

Yours looks so much prettier with the designs you picked. Did you have any trouble removing the decal around the round window? I think there is caulk around that window

Yes, some of the caulking came off so I had to replace it.

We are from Florida and my wife loves Flamingos.  A friend who has a wrap company did this partial wrap for us.

How cute! Is a wrap just like a decal that’s removable? What is the company’s name?

It is a wrap, so in theory it is removable.  The company was 10-4 and they are located in Destin Florida

Reviving an older thread, but a handheld garment steamer works great for removing decals. It also works great for removing window tinting. Just steam for a bit, get a corner started and peel away as you continue to steam. There’s typically no or very little glue left if you’re careful. And no need for a putty knife, razor blades, scrapers or high heat. I just removed several from our 320s.

You can pick one up for $20 or so. No endorsement of this one, but here’s a link to something like I use.
