There are 2 companies out there that rise to the top for portable EMS - Progressive Industries and Surge Guard.  Google it and you will see the comparisons.  It has been a while since we purchased ours, but at the time the PI EMS was the best with the best warranty.  We use ours with a cable and pad lock and keep it out of the water when it rains.  We use it anytime we plug in the TaB.  Has reliably detected issues and guards against low voltage as well.

Agree with @Sharon_is_SAM on those two brands. I have a PI as do many, but technically the Surge Guard has some pluses and I would look hard at both. TechnoRV is a good source of info and I find their technical info good. They do sell the Surge Guard but they sell what they think is best, they recently started selling a different brand of RV GPS because they felt they were no longer selling the best.
