Cracked Frame Repair.

Not Surprisingly, NuCamp said they would not help me with the repair on the frame. First I welded the cracks completely. Then I cut out some sections of 3/16" x 2" steel plate 6 inches long and welded them into place. One side completed today. Will prime and paint black. (Edited for photo size.)

Whoa -- that's scary! How did it happen? And how did you discover it? Did you notice handling problems or noise?

Do you use a weight distribution hitch? Nucamp warned me this could happened and told me not to use a weight distro hitch on the 400....just curious if this might be the cause since I'm using a WDH anyway!
