Devil's Tower National Monument last week. Taking a shower at night was great.

Couple more shots of Lathrop State Park, Walsenburg, CO, including a room with a view. The dog sure seemed impressed.
-
sable - Cool, will probably be there in a couple weeks or so.
-
Can't seem to get this photo thing to work properly. I think this is a duplicate (if it ever finishes downloading). Maybe someone could delete this one for me if that is the case.

Keeping those pups pretty close to home - does IKEA have longer leashes? ;-)
-
PXlated,
There is a KOA outside of the Monument. It was a zoo there with bumper to bumper bus type RV's. Go inside the Monument to the NP campground and it's much more peaceful. No hook-up's but with water taps and solar power it's perfect. Say hi to Bob the campground host for me.
-
Cool - Thanks for the advice, I always do fed campgrounds vs commercial, or jus boondock when possible.

Very pretty, Patti. As opposed to kitschy that we went with doing the little trailer lights. I like the leaf motif. Ours are cute but yours look sorta classy. The pic is from our trip back over Memorial Day2015 T@b S Max | 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited | was PHX East Valley, now Dallas!

sgttiki, look for the post "Solar Power". I had to look it up to see how he did what he did. Lots of good info on that discussion.Verna, Columbus, IN

68 watt Unisolar panels with EPSOLAR MPPT controller. 68 watt panels (136 shown, I have another 68 watt panel that can be added in if hang it for use). All in parallel.I use 2 agm 100A batteries mounted over TAB wheel wells (under the benches). I never got below 90% batteries in the 5 day stay on this trip. (in the middle of an old growth redwood grove with only filtered light). Unisolars were permanent mounted panels (the spare has mounting mastic, but I have rigged to hang from fan in the center if I feel I need it). Generally 136 watts is sufficient.

Nice - Pretty patriotic looking with the blue solar panels - You could be in a forth of July parade :-)

Family acreage near the Ghost River, Alberta is the PipSque@k's home away from home, Having it set up an hour from home means I can use it until I take to go on a road trip. A win-win.

I got the idea from someone on the forum, unfortunately I can't remember who. I added a lot of eyelets to the tarp, cut up a plastic garden stake, and then used UV plastic zip ties to attach them. It was a bit of a pain putting it up because of the screws in the Keder rail but hopefully it will get easier. I have to do a bit of fine tuning and trim the ties but this should work until I can an official tent or awning.
-
Try pulling forward a bit on the tarp when it encounters a screw. Should help get it past.
-
Thanks, I'll try that. I'm going to bring a little step stool to stand on which should help with that.

Very nice improvisation, send to work well.Pipdeben said:I got the idea from someone on the forum, unfortunately I can't remember who.
