Lagun table top replaced with birch

It bugged me that the original table top was about a half inch shy of being used to support the bed. I got a piece of birch to try to match the interior. I glued three boards together to make a table that has a little more room for two to eat at and it supports the bed. With the mount off-set it still operates similarly to the original.

Looks great!  What are the dimensions of your table?

I picked up a 1x8x9 and cut 3- 28 7/8“ boards. Glued and sanded it is 28 7/8 x 21 3/4. I am using two of the original bed slats and the table lays between the plastic stops for the slats.

Awesome lumber selection!  Is it curly or quilted birch?  I can’t tell from the photo.

The lumber yard just called the wood “yellow birch”
