Jensen, again —Solved for Bluetooth option

Well, the Jensen is acting up again. Now I don’t get a Bluetooth option when cycling thru the MODE button.

instead I get  “front auxiliary“ or “rear auxiliariy” and “HDMI ARC” In sequence

None of the turning Bluetooth off anon, using a paperclip to reset the Jensen, or holding in the pairing button works to correct the situation

I guess I’ll totally disconnect the Jensen and see what happens, but until then, does anyone have any new advice?

    I'd say fully powering it off, then on again as you suggest would be the next trouble shooting step.
    That reboot solves a lot of issues with lots of different tech!

    Power on the Jensen. Use a paperclip to push the hard "reset" button. It's a small hole to the right of the Menu button on the lower left of the unit.

    Once reset. cycle thru "Mode" until Bluetooth shows up. Touch (not hold...touch) "Pair" button. Then, touch and hold pair button until the countdown timer show ups. Now open the Bluetooth on your device. It should pair. 

    A pain...yes. But at least for me, it works every time.

    We had problems on our journey recently until I realized by putting a pen in a little hole on the left side it does a flash reset and then it works whatever issue. Try it

    Bluetooth does not come up as an option. - only “Front Auxiliary” and “Rear Auxiliary”

    (this is in addition to the AM and FM sequence options)

    Going to call ASA electronics

    solved !

    talked w Tori at ASA/Jensen at 877-845-8750, opt 1

    We held down the “Settings” button for 2 seconds to activate the menu.  Came up “Bluetooth OFF”

    we turned the tuning dial (on left of panel) to the right and it changed to “Bluetooth ON”

    Then you press in on tuning dial once to lock in the choice.  Then re-pair with your phone or tablet, and voila’!

    It’s like setting the clock.

    (If you want to find other Settings, then turn the tuning dial after holding down the settings button for two seconds to find what you want. In my case the Bluetooth option came up immediately).

    The description by “deuce” worked great for us tonight.  I had messed around with trying to get Bluetooth for the past 4 days with no luck.  Followed the instructions and it worked great.  Thanks for sharing!
