NEW DOMETIC 301, NEW KES SHOWER HEAD, NEW HANDHELD BIDET

Just finished installing the new Dometic 301 Porcelain bowl toilet, KES shower head, and handheld bidet in our Tab 400.  The shower head has a much improved weight and feel while the bidet is solid chrome plated brass.  Installation included a bypass valve so either the shower or bidet can be used independently from the shower mixing valve.  The bidet will save a lot of toilet paper going into the black tank.  The toilet bowl and seat are somewhat larger than the factory toilet seat so that alone should improve our experience. Really looking forward to trying them out in early December.

    Hi JCALD, do you have a link to which toilet you bought? I can’t seem to find the 301 in porcelain.. thx

    Does the shower curtain still have room to tuck behind the toilet after your mod?

    Also, the porcelain toilet is the 310 model, right? I'm very interested in doing the same to my 400.

    Are handheld bidet options better than the ones built into the toilet seat with built in heaters and waterproof remotes?

    No they are not.  We have a ToTo at home and really like it.  My first plan on the Tab 400 was to install a ToTo after doing the porcelain toilet.  I ended up with clearance issues and that is what drove the bidet wand decision.

    no I don’t.  I had trouble finding one and ended up ordering from an RV supply in Kentucky if memory serves me well.

    Yes it does, although a little tighter.

    I know this is an older thread, but has anyone else installed a Dometic 3X series tolilet? We have had trouble with our Thetford and would prefer a ceramic toilet if we are going to replace it.

    I have it in our list of updates to make.  JACLD installed one, it just seem to bolt right on the same flange rhyno, go for it, and let me know how it went!

    @Denny16 what model are thinking of going with? The 311 looks to be the model JCALD installed, because the 301 mentioned as the model in this thread is only available with a plastic bowl. The 311 is cheaper than the 321 and seems to have a better chance of fitting in the space. On the other hand, the 321 model is better at saving water which is important for the small black tank capacity, has the elongated residential style bowl and seems to be of better overall quality. I am afraid if I got the 321 I'd have to shave the back end at the top at least slightly to make it fit into the corner.

    I was thinking the 311, because it fits the area.  The 321 looks interesting, but the fit is in question.
