Newbie, help please. 2018 Tab 320, After filling water tank, water will not pump.

Help out a newbie please? I'm in SoCal. I bought a 2018 Tab 320 Outback from Reno. It had been winterized, now I am de-winterizing. I filled the fresh water tank (which was fully empty) but I can not get the water pump to pump water. I followed the manual to set all the valves on the blue and red hoses for camping. I definitely got 10 gallons into the tank. I ran the Alde and all plumbing fixtures while hooked up to city water. I opened all faucets while on city water and I got both cold and hot water. So, on city water all is working as it should.
When I turn on the fresh water pump it is running. It is in the compartment over the and behind the toilet. I checked the water filter, it is clear. I was able to suck water up the inlet hose that feeds the pump. I sent a few ounces into the pump via the outlet side of the pump. I removed inlet hose connection to feel for suction with my finger. There is only a little suction (should the suction feel strong?). I tried letting the pump run a good 5 to 7 minutes, nothing.
Any ideas please?
Thanks in advance. Gene

It does take a bit to get up to pressure. Make all the faucets are closed. The outside shower, too. Sometimes, you can jump start the pump a bit by flushing the toilet a few times.Try these threads for more ideas. And, welcome to the Forums!

Oftentimes there is a loose connection, so tighten the filter cap and connections on both sides of the pump. If you were able to suck water up by disconnecting the inlet side, then it should work.
Another concern is a blockage at the fresh water tank outlet. You can try blowing down the tubing leading to the outlet. Maybe even with a compressor with a pressure regulator. Or try sticking some thick, stiff fishing line down the fresh tank outlet.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio -

I was able to suck up plenty of water on the inlet side of the pump. Presumably this is coming directly from the fresh water tank?

Oh. Thought you had removed the hose on the inlet side of the pump and was able to suck up water independent of the fresh water tank. Hmmm. Bad pump? There is a way to adjust it. Let me see if I can find the thread.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Here is the thread. I think the directions for adjusting the pump is on the second page.

Let me see if I can find the thread.Sharon, first off thank you for your help. Yes, I can suck water from the tank on the inlet side. As recommended by someone on one of the other threads that you had linked to me, I detached the opposite end of pump's inlet hose. I then put that end in a pot of water. I even disconnected the output hose from the pump. So now pump is fully isolates from the system with the inlet hose submerged in a pot of water. This pump does not pump, period. So, I am pretty sure I just need a new pump. Found them on ebay for $56. So I bought one. Thank you for all your help. I can already tell this is a friendly community.2018 Tab 320 Outback, pulling with Tesla Model Y.

Other than the location, the pump is easy to replace. Good luck!Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

To follow up on this lack of water being pumped. I finally determined it was the pump being defective. I just replaced the pump with a brand new one I found on ebay for $59. All is well! Yay!

What did you replace it with? Glad it worked!
