Getting your black propane hose to blend in to the surroundings

Wanted to enjoy the new Outland propane firepit by deluding myself into thinking it was a "real" fire.  That stark black propane hose going to the propane tank detracted from that fantasy.  Found this very inexpensive camo wrap ("camouflage" for you non-Seal Team Six members of the general public).  Went with the light tan because of the desert camping I normally do.  Other shades available for those who camp near things called "trees."


Decided to see how this stuff would work with the propane tank.  Jury is out, but this shows promise.  Not sure if regulations prohibit painting a propane tank, but if not, then I'll camo paint the handle.

    Why you didn't go with the "Lego" motif is beyond me....🤷🏻‍♂️

    @Tabaz :

    It seems to me that the fire pit would be most useful at night.  Here on the east coast, where we have trees, we have thing at night also, its called, "darkness."  This, "thing" is very useful in  camouflaging everything, big & small.  I even think Seal Team 6  has used it from time to time!🤣🤣

    Problem with that is that I would lose my propane hose every time every time I set it down.  :-/

    Had a camo jacket once laid it down somewhere and still can’t find it.

    4ncar - you funny guy.  We kill you last.  :o Unfortunately, the glow from the fire creates "light" which illuminates the propane hose near it.  And then there's that annoying thing called "daytime" where the hose is constantly being illuminated by that "sun" thingy.

    I just realized I now have to wrap the black coaxial cable for my portable satellite dish.  And the dish itself.  Then there's my white truck.  Stay tuned.

    @tabaz...you're well on your way to full on prepper! lol. Your new found issue also reminds me of an old Lilly Tomlin bit...When "post-its" first came out, she would write post-it notes to remind herself to do stuff, and stuck them all over her body until she was covered...you and your camo tape are well on your way! 🤣

    Appreciate the analogy, but I should mention that a seal team wouldn't have a fire pit. They'd call in for napalm.....
    Desert camo, because, after the napalm, there wouldn't be any trees either....
