New owner--getting the basics

Hi there everyone,
We pick up our new T@B M@x S on Saturday. Couldn't be more excited! We are complete newbies to T@Bs and actually to RVing. We're Brits who moved to Canada a few years back so we're trying to play catch up.
Are there are threads on here that you might direct me to that talk about people's experiences of what the absolute basics are that you need to get when you first bring your T@B (feels like when we brought our kids or puppy home for the first time!)
Thanks,
Jules

Just look through the previous pages. LOTS of very good information on just about anything you will want to know. Too much to list here, so take some time and look around. I'm sure that any question that you may have has been already discussed somewhere on this forum. WELCOME and ENJOY!!The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

jkjenn wrote a super-helpful post in the "Trailers & Accessories" category. It's titled, "For New T@bbers: What do I need to get? (T@B supply list)". The post and thread allowed me to prioritize purchases and look into issues that hadn't crossed my mind. There's a wealth of information throughout this forum, and great archives on the T@B Travel Trailers Yahoo group.

Welcome aboard the T@B train - or I guess you're at the station about to board :-)
As JandJ mentioned, there's quit a few threads in the forum with answers to that question because it's a question we all ask - help, what do I need. Unfortunately they're spread out all over the place. So, tell us a little about the type of camping you plan to doing, we have everyone from full-time gypsies (me) to those that just use their T@B for weekends or their summer vacation. We than will overwhelm you with our knowledge and thoughts to the point that you may wish you hadn't asked :-) -
Thanks everyone! PXLated, we're brand new to all of this so we'll take baby steps. First off, we'll be looking to do a few weekends over this summer and then we plan to do a road trip to the BC coast. We live in Canmore in the Canadian Rockies so it's about a 10 hour drive, which we plan to do over 2-3 days. The weekends will help us to get a sense of how we use T@bby Wynette and what kit we might use, but I thought I would get a head start on that!
One thing I'm keen on is the enclosed tent but it's pretty pricey (especially after having just bought the trailer) so wondered if people used that or if they just used existing tents.
I will look at the post Hans111 recommended-sounds very helpful. -
jkjenn's post, and subsequent comments, are awesome. Think this may keep us going. Like the point you made, PXlater about not rushing out and getting everything in one go. Will take heed!

What model of T@B did you get?

Well, we just got our T@b in May and have been out on quite a few of weekends since. This is my first camping not in a tent and we love it! This was the story of our first weekend:

If I lived in Canmore, I'd be happy parking my T@B in my driveway and enjoying all of the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Go to the T@B technical page. My wife wrote a owner's manual for a 2014 T@B but much will apply to you
