Which T@B to buy?

Ive started my search for a T@B and am torn between an outdoor kitchen and an indoor kitchen. I've never had an RV before. Would you be willing to share your experiences and preferences? Thanks!

Hi Char:
I posted the same question several months ago right before we traveled to the nearest dealer to order our T@B. Although there's no correct answer, the responses really helped us to prioritize. I loved the charm of a clamshell but we decided on an inside kitchen--we'll still do most of our cooking outside but we have the option of going indoors in bad weather. Plus, we liked the larger bed that comes with the indoor kitchen models and realized that the window seat that replaces the kitchen in the clamshell isn't all that functional for us.
Do a search for this thread and you'll get some insight from both sides:

Thanks Hans! I'm leaning toward an indoor kitchen, but love the idea of cooking outside. I don't think I'd want the TV as I think TV noise can be annoying to fellow campers.

It really comes down to the bed size, then the other deciding factor is bath, or no bath.
The outside kitchen has a lot of charm, but I wanted the fridge inside and a bathroom, so it was the "S" for me.Martin - Trailer name: James T@Berius Kirk -
We have the indoor kitchen but I do all the coking outdoors under our full awning. I use a BBQ and a propane camp stove, even when it is raining. The only thing we use the stove for is coffee......it is worth it just for that.Char said:Thanks Hans! I'm leaning toward an indoor kitchen, but love the idea of cooking outside. The one thing I don't like about cooking inside is it kills my back as I have to slump to stand in front of the stove.
Inside bath, it may be itty bitty but in the middle of the night ya just don't care. -
Thank you. I love that little over/coffee maker!

We couldn't decide on outside or inside kitchen either so when we place our order, we are having a counter inside the CS-S instead of the bench. It will have the same inside kitchen as the S model without the stove (wanted more counter top and can use a single burner plug in if needed). Since we couldn't decide, we basically are choosing both outside and inside kitchen. We are both on the shorter side so the bigger bed was not a deciding factor for us. We have a travel trailer right now and have only used the burner inside twice in the last 8 years. We use toaster oven and Keurig inside all the time.

We love our Clamshell. We are fine with sleeping side to side (although, climbing over DH is getting harder, that getting older stuff......). We have a Dutchmen, so have the built-in spot for the portapotty. Although my next major mod will be the cabinet like Gid built for his with the roll out drawer for the portapotty, and extra drawers and counter space.Carol
