2018 T@B 400 kitchen sink leak

The drain pipe under the kitchen sink is leaking when I run water. I had this problem before, and was able to hand tighten it, but now I'm not having any luck. I tried using plumber's tape on the threads, but it doesn't seem to help. The leak seems to be just below the threaded pipe. What can I try next? A photo is attached with the area of the leak marked.
Disclosure--I have very little experience with plumbing, but I'm willing to try!

I removed the entire trap on our 2018 TaB400, and replaced it with a HevPo replacement tap fitting, eliminating the second set of P Trap threads, and potential leaks. You also gain some storage room under the sink in this area.
The install was easy, no cutting required, except to fit the new tail pipe to the correct length for fitting. Here is a link to the HevPo fitting: https://hepvo.com/
Here is a photo showing the new fitting installed:

You should have a washer like this in there, the Teflon tape is not needed. The sealing is done by the washer.

@Pintoplumber I don't think there's a washer in there. Exactly where would it be on the photo I attached? Is it very obvious?

@Pintoplumber there is a washer, but it doesn't look like yours. Could it be worn out?

You may not have enough depth to get my style washer in place. Get a new washer at a hardware store. If they don’t have a flat washer like yours, cut the excess off my style.2016 320 CS-S 1954 Ford F100 2017 Chevy suburban 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500

@Denny16, thanks for the link. I may do this someday, but right now I just need to make it stop leaking in the quickest way possible. I'll try the washer replacement and keep my fingers crossed!

what size is the hepvo fitting?

Success! That was a cheap and easy fix. It needed a new washer, and now it's dry as a bone! For anyone who might be having the same problem, this is the washer I needed. I actually bought 2 kinds, because they were so similar to what I took out that I couldn't tell. Since they were each under $3, I thought I'd try them both. The one that didn't work was a square cut kitchen washer--it was a little too thick.

@doug15johnson, the 2018 TaB 400 uses as 1.5” Trap, so I got a 1.5” Hepvo valve, worked great. The space under the sink is tight to work in, but install was straight forward using bits thst came with the kit.
