Just checking - Running Alde Heat in winter

Forgive me as this is probably buried in a thread.  I searched and it didn’t reveal itself so I’ll just ask.

So, I completed winterizing my 2021 Tab 400 BDE by siphoning the antifreeze to the fixtures.

I have left thr Nautilus in the configuration for Winterize -Siphon to fixtures

Am I correct that I can turn on the Alde at this point and Heat the cabin without screwing up my Alde with the antifreeze in the lines?

Yes.  As long as you bypassed the Alde and did not put antifreeze in the Alde boiler you can use it for heat after winterizing.  If you followed the directions on the Nautilus you should have bypassed it and be okay.

Yup. I was very methodical and followed all instructions EXACTLY.  I even had hubby double check before each step.  So now I guess I’ll trust the process!   I felt the need to ask the question just to be sure.

I think the other part of my question is verifying that the Nautilus needs to stay in the Winterize configuration as long as the antifreeze is in the lines.

While I have no intention of changing them, am I correct that repositioning them could cause the antifreeze to potentially flow to places like the Alde?

Yes, leave the Nautilus set to “winterize” until you dewinterize.

    Thank you @Sharon_is_SAM!!
unless I missed it, the directions don’t specifically call that out as part of the process to keep it that way until dewinterizing.  It would be my luck that we’d show off our new baby to someone and demonstrate how cool the nautilus system is and move a knob as part of the tour, then ruin our Alde.

@Snoblett The important thing is that you "know" what condition your trailer is: winterized or in "camping mode".  Leaving them in "Winterized" mode is mostly just a friendly visual reminder.
