Using fridge as a cooler only

My 3way Norcold is not working on propane & it will be weeks before my mobile repair guy can get to it.  We always boondock.  In the meantime I plan on using frozen 1\2 gallon water jugs & water bottles and take another cooler as well.  Anyone have experience using the fridge this way & did it keep your food cool enough for food safety?  For how many days?

    I'm in the same boat.. waiting for Norcold parts for a month now. I have 4 of these: 

    Kona Large Ice Pack for Coolers [Black Ice 4lb] 

    They fit really well in the 3 way 320 norcold. I haven't multi- day tried them yet- but I'm hopeful.
