Storage cubby after television removal

We removed the television but that left the hole and the unattractive white plastic box where the swing-arm mount was.  I removed the plastic box and built a stained birch box with a cargo netting frame.  I'm not sure what will end up there.  I thought about using it as a spice rack.  The more likely use will be a catch-all bin for stuff like my cell phone and flashlight while sleeping.  Now if I had a USB port there .....

You can also see the microwave removal / cargo net storage bin in the bottom pic.  The orange clip is where I hang a luci light for bedtime reading.

    Nice work. I did something similar several years back and it indeed became a handy catch-all location for misc. small items like phone, keys, etc. Much more useful than the TV, IMHO.  ;-)

    Who’s hot time to watch the TV when you’re camping?  😂  I like these types of mods as they are practical and give added storage space.  Thanks for sharing your work!
