Fridge not defrosting

I have a brand new 2022 T@b 320s. We are not taking it our camping yet but we have it parked in the driveway and plugged in. We had the fridge turned on to check it. It has developed a little bit of frost. We really do not want to keep the fridge running so we so we turned it off or to 0. It has not defrosted. We are following what the manual said to do. Is there something we are missing ?

I defrost our fridge, by turning the unit off, opening the door to the warm air in the camper, and place some newspapers or a towel in the bottom of the fridge to catch the water. Depending on the temperature in the TaB, this could take several hours or most of the day, depending on the amount of frost. You may need to block, the door, open, so it can’t swing closed.

Thanks we are trying that. Door stays open on its own so that is good.
