New Outback owner.. have a few questions!

The wife fell in love with the TAB.. and so we downsized from a 25ft Airstream to a Outback... we are very excited to get off the beaten path with it!
My main question, and I did search but couldnt find anything... is if the Outback with AC running, can be powered reliably with a 2000 generator like a Yamaha or Honda 2000... or would we need to go up a bit to a yamaha 2400? I was thinking the much small 5000btu ac unit would be OK on a 2000 genny, but would rather ask folks who hav first hand experience!

Yes, works just fine - I have the Honda-2000i and the a/c doesn't even kick it into high gear. I wouldn't doubt you could run it with a 1000w once it's started up.

I figured I would give it a bit more room, and just buy the Yamaha 2000 size... jsut wanted to make sure it wouldn't struggle. Thanks for the input!!

PXlated.. next question... what cord do you use for a single honda 2000 to your trailer? Since the single only has 110? Do you run a 110 cord to a 30 amp twist adapter?

I have a short heavy-duty extension cord hooked from the gen to the std. 30amp cord via an adapter then into the T@B as usual.
