New Phone and Victron Connect Will Not Pair

Tried search and did not find prior discussion. New phone is BT 5.0. Old phone was BT 4.2. Tried to pair new phone with Victron Connect, with old phone shut down. It does a non-stop loop of returning me to pairing pop-up. Victron's troubleshooting pages are no help. With old phone turned off and in house, it can't be interfering. Cannot eliminate Victron Connect from it because it's my only hope for a working connection when we leave for 3 day trip tomorrow.

Has anyone else switch phones, had this experience and found a way to overcome? Thank you!

Yes, I did earlier this summer when I upgraded my Samsung phone. Same scenario - old phone shut off and new phone activated but refusing to pair. Default code of 000000 did not work.

Based on guidance from this group, I unscrewed the small Victron device from the wall (you have to remove the drawer below the 3-way frig if you have this layout) to get the necessary codes to reset the access code. Then write this information down so you never have to do this again.

It worked. Better than that, I discovered I may be smartening up with time. Before diving under bed to check PUK code, I wondered if I wrote the code on the manual cover over 2 years ago. Amazingly, I did! However, it's not like I remembered doing it... just that I might have.
