Changing a flat

Hello All  
 New to the forum , so thanks for having me   Just picked up a 2015 Little Guy 5 Wide . Really nice .  Have had trailers in the past like Casita and Scamp . Read the manual for changing a flat . NuCamp says raise the entire camper up on the stabilizer jacks and front crank .???  In the past I have placed a bottle jack on the frame as close to the axle as possible with a piece of 3x4 by 2" piece of plywood between the top of the jack and the frame .    Is there a reason NC does not want you to support the frame in this manner .  I feel sure this has been discussed before so thanks for your replies
