I just came back from my third camp out with my T@B. I have bought a bunch of stuff for it in the past two months. Is there anything else I need to get?

Hitch locks/stabilizer pads/leveler/leveling blocks/chocks/drill bit for the stabilizers:

Stabilizer pads are something you MUST have if you own an Outback. At least 2 of them usually don't reach the ground unless the site is completely leveled (due to the height of the Outaback)...

Water pressure regulator (came with the tailer)/Voltage analyzer with serge protection/tongue wheel chock/containers for water/sewer hose:

Dish Drainer/Tub

Hanging storage for cabinets:

Storage/AC thermostat/clip fan/spray swivel faucet adaptor:

$30 microwave from walmart/water filter/outside fan:

Hi Jiro - Thanks for sharing. We will make our very first camping trip to Galveston on Monday. While very excited yet a little bit worried as we have never done this. The forum and people here are great and I have learned quite a bit. Next week will be the test for us to put what we learned into real life.

We are in Houston/Austin area and hope to see LG campers on Texas highways and campgrounds.

You look to be in great shape! Do you have a 30 amp to 15 amp adapter? That can be useful. My new favorite purchase is the Quiet Hitch hitch tightener. Now more clunking noises.

Where did you find those wire baskets hanging over the cabinet doors? Same for the paper towel holder? The ones in your photos really look handy to me.

Lisa, yes, 30a to 15a adapter came with the T@B. I didn't have to buy one.

I don't think my hitch is making noise. Mine is pretty tight already.

I got most of the items from Amazon and Walmart.
Dish Drainer & TuB (I saw the same ones at Walmart also)
Wire Baskets: Towel Hanger, Trash Basket, Mini Basket, Medium Basket, Paper Towel Holder

Chan, my paper towel holder is on the top cabinet and the basket is hanging on the bottom one.

That makes more sense... Our freshwater tank occupies the bottom cupboard. You must have the large external tank. I have tank envy. :-)

I have a question. I am trying to decide between a regular T@b and the Outback but I can't find any specs such as ground clearance, approach angle, departure angle, etc. How "off road" ready is the Outback? Is it really worth the price difference over the standard T@b? The off road trailer would be great behind my Wrangler but we really want a larger trailer with indoor kitchen and bath. Thanks for any help/advice.

We also ordered ours with the Outback axle. I just did a quick measurement and it looks like right around 10" - 10 1/2" maximum clearance at the axle. I will attach a couple pics. Ours is currently parked in gravel so the measurements are still quite approximate. Of course the tire is still under ours, and it is at about 9" from the ground.

I have several of,those baskets and they are perfect for kitchen things, insect repellant, shower shoes, etc. They can also hang outside the cabinet doors. Haven't seen the dish drainer at Walmart.

With everything else in my T@b, I decided rather than a dishdrain, I will just use disposable plates and cups, plastic dinnerware, etc. so the only things to wash are some good knives and a small saucepan or two.

Vito - I do the same except for the plastic spoons/forks, dinnerware's easily cleaned. If you're a fire pit builder, poof, there go your dirty dishes. Even if you're not, you'll always have other trash and your dirty dishes disappear at the dumpster. I also converted to non-stick pans. Easily wiped out (again, fire pit approved paper towels) and then takes minimal water to finish.

I recently bought a high quality toaster oven by Breville, both for use at home as well as when camping in the T@b. Although its small we probably will not try to use it inside the T@b but on a small table in the attached tent (using the outside outlet). I think its more versatile than having a microwave, and between my small propane grill, the two burner stove in the T@b, and having an oven for baking/broiling, I think we are all set for the long haul. One of the primary reasons we bought the T@b and decided to use an RV for traveling was to avoid eating in restaurants three meals a day, so we wanted to be well equipped to really be able to cook while on the road.

@JiroTX...in your original post you show a picture of a microwave. We currently travel with a convection/toaster oven in our Little Guy Tear Drop and will be transferring it to our T@B; we're just not sure where to store it or where to stow it when we're under way. What do you do? TIA

I usually keep the microwave under the bed in the original box. It takes a lot of space, but for weekend camping, I do not need a lot of storage. During camping, it usually stays outside on the table by the propane grill and portable stove. You can also keep the microwave in the TV.

We we're thinking of traveling with it on the bathroom floor (under the table will hold our road grill and propane fire ring) and storing it in our TV or traveling it in the TV... we'll have to see where it fits! Appreciate your input

One thing to keep in mind is if you'll be doing any one nighters on your trips - Real pain unloading the T@B just to sleep. I don't carry anything in the T@B that needs to be taken out.
