Changing a 400 Boondocks Lite tires to stand 400 tires to reduce the overall height of the camper.

Can you take the 400 boondocks light tires off and change them to standard 400 tires to lower the height of the camper? My carport entrance is at 104.5 inches, once under ceiling height is 122 inches.

    While the 320's have different rim size wheels between the Standard and Boondock (14 to 15 inches) aren't all the 400 tires on 15-inch rims?

    So the only possible height difference will be a minor aspect ratio of tire width to sidewall height . . .
    Boondock is at 107-inch instead of 104-inch mainly due to the Axle Pitch difference of the two styles.

    OR, is it possible to lower the nose of the trailer with the winch a significant amount of inches to get the 400 under my carport. 

    At present so not have one to test !

    I have found a great buy in a Boondock and trying to make it fit without a home improvement.

    How many inches do you need?  As the TaB400 axle is behind the peak height of the roof, Using the jockey wheel on the front tongue Jack, might give you 4-6 inches.

    well it might work - - - may need to remove jack wheel (or post assembly) and slide post end (or coupler) on the pavement {cardboard pad}

    You could get some 14”  steel rims an mountbthem on thebTaB (without the tires) and put a thin plywood board down for the rims to roll on, would reduce the height by the tire sidewall height. This has been used by some other TaB owners to get their TaB in a garage.
