PahaQue fiberglass pole replacement

I got so frustrated with the fiberglass poles splitting!  Here is a great replacement option.  I'm very pleased with the aluminum poles.

I'll second this endorsement. After a couple sections of my PahaQue awning pole split in heavy winds, I ordered replacement parts from TPT. They make whatever you need to spec, at a much better price than a direct replacement from PahaQue.

With help from the Forums several years ago, I bought replacement segments from Tent Pole Technologies.  Replacing individual pole segments is not very hard, and I now have two sets of poles for my visor.

This thread has lots of info about the poles, replacements, etc.

The big lesson learned, however: you cannot let the visor/awning, etc, flap around in the wind.  It must be firmly attached to something, or staked out with stronger straps or lines.  The small guy lines attached to the visor are a nice touch, but they will do nothing to protect the visor from beating itself to death in even a small breeze, damaging the poles.
