Hi, been thinking this for a while now. 2 year glycol change.Pros &cons of JUST DO A DRAIN  & FILL and call it a day.
2021 400 boondock solo with the blue/ green rhomar rtu50 from the factory and the systems has very little use.TIA

    Just because I don't know, If my expansion tank is a low, and I don't have any of the correct fluid, would it hurt to top off with distilled water? I got my 320s pre-owned, and I didn't get any fluid to maintain the level.

    I once did calculations on the level of new glycol maintained year by year with just a drain and fill.  Assuming you drain and fill 6.5 quarts and did it every year you could stay very near an average age of glycol in the system of 2 years.  That said, after the first year of drain and fill I got the shopvac out, bought a few fittings and did a complete change.

    There are about 6 years worth of comments about the Alde glycol swap, and yes, the "drain and fill" has been mentioned often.  There are now, along with the "DIY Glycol Exchange" thread, several different ways to remove the old glycol.
    It is hard to search through all these glycol threads, because the terms get all mixed up with water "drains" and such.  In the long "Changing out the Alde Glycol" thread, this page 8 has a discussion of the 'drain and fill".

    For an example of a different way to get the glycol out, try this thread.  Starts with a discussion of a "waterless" coolant, but on page 3, Dale Helman (Tab Genius) had the easiest removal method of all.
